During Ramadan, a time of spiritual reflection and giving, STEPPI partnered with the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD), Dubai Government, Dubai Sports Council, and Al Jalila Foundation to launch the STEPS OF LIFE challenge. This unique initiative encouraged participants to stay active while supporting a charitable contribution of 1 MILLION DIRHAMS from IACAD to Al Jalila Foundation upon reaching a collective goal of 1 billion steps.
The challenge, open to everyone, invited participants to track their steps through the STEPPI app, with each step contributing towards the target. Walking, a simple and accessible form of exercise, provided a way for people of all ages to stay active during Ramadan while engaging in an act of community support.
The funds raised through the challenge were dedicated to medical research to transform patient lives. By taking part, participants made a real impact—not just on their own health but on the well-being of others.
Incentives & Engagement
To motivate participants, STEPPI offered daily rewards and raffle entries for a chance to win an Apple Watch for those who completed at least 10,000 steps per day. Weekly updates kept the community informed on progress, ensuring high engagement and excitement throughout the challenge.
A Lasting Impact
The STEPS OF LIFE challenge was a powerful demonstration of how movement can drive meaningful change. By combining fitness with charitable giving, the initiative successfully encouraged thousands to stay active while supporting a vital cause.
